About Hometown Designs

   Hometown Designs was launched in 2023 with one simple plan; to show pride in your home town and never forget where you come from. Having grown up in Queens, NY, I often joke about how you can "take the girl from Queens, but you'll never take the Queens from the girl!"  Moving to NJ in 2003 with a 2 year old, and adding another daughter 3 years later, I realized that they would forever be known as "Jersey Girls".  Fast forward to 2023, and when I looked back on the 20 years of raising our girls, I realized how many memories and friendships were created just by being in our town. Yet, there was no merchandise available that showcased our town other than the local high schools sports merchandise.

   So, I decided to create it for myself in the form of tote bags, pillows, wine glasses, and other items. What I discovered was that everyone I encountered felt a sense of hometown pride and wanted to share it especially if someone was re-locating or going away to college. What a great way to take a piece of home with you!  Since the fall of 2023, the business has expanded to custom merchandise for just about any occasion or event.  I love what I am doing and love hearing the back story from customers who want to share why they love their town.
